Summary

This course explores the rich history of Eastern North Carolina Waterfowl Carving craft and industry. Students learn traditional hand carving and finishing techniques. Safety and proper use of mechanical power tools are introduced to enhance the older traditional carving techniques. Creativity is encouraged as students choose which methods to apply to their project. Upon completion, students will prepare to either advance to a higher skill level or to fabricate and market their goods.
